The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is searching for a Finance and Administration Officer to support them in the delivery of an exciting programme in Bangladesh that aims to improve maternal and child nutrition. GAIN is driven by the vision of a world without malnutrition. GAIN is a Swiss based international organization that mobilizes public-private partnerships and provides financial and technical support to deliver nutritious foods to those people most at risk of malnutrition. The organization is delivering improved nutrition to an estimated 700 million people in more than 30 countries, half of whom are women and children. GAIN will implement a project titled “Leadership to Ensure Adequate Nutrition” (LEAN). It is consortium led by United Purpose (UP) and funded by the European Union (EU) which will work to improve maternal and child nutrition for 282,000 pregnant & lactating women, children under 5 and adolescent girls. The Project will cover under-served rural areas in 18 Upazilas (sub districts) of 3 CHT districts (Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachari). The Finance and Administration Officer will be mainly responsible for providing general financial support to the LEAN project including; • Financial reporting • Processing of financial transactions • Monitoring of expenditure against the budget. In addition, they will be expected to provide some support in additional areas such as HR and office administration as well as support the country operations team in regard to other programs. Candidates for this position should have a strong proficiency in finance related administration and be able to demonstrate a strong attention to detail while working under minimal supervision. Experience working with EU funded projects is required, ideally within an NGO setting. This position also requires candidates to be proficient in business English and Bengali.
